Stone-Baked Pizza - Pizza not cooking or baking evenly in oven
Issue
- Pizza not cooking or baking evenly in oven
Applies to
- Stone-Baked Pizza Oven
Solution
Make sure the pizza stone and shield are installed in the correct rack position. The rack number is printed on the left side of the oven frame—confirm it matches the position recommended in your Use & Care Manual.
For best baking performance:
Stick with thin, fresh dough to avoid uneven cooking. Avoid par‑baked or precooked doughs. Know that pre‑shredded cheese often contains less moisture and may brown faster than freshly shredded cheese.
Make sure you insert the pizza fully onto the stone. To do so, touch the tip of the peel to the hot stone. Gently push forward, using the pizza shield as your backstop. Jiggle the peel slightly to slide the pizza off. Avoid touching the broil element. Once on the stone—don’t move it—this creates the best crust. Select Confirm to start the two‑minute cook countdown.
Tip: Turn on oven sounds so you never miss a reminder or cycle change. For more information, please refer to your Use and Care Guide.
