Solution
Has the fan shut off?
- It is normal for the fan to turn on and off during normal dehumidification.
- If the relative humidity is below the setpoint the unit will shut off. For example if the relative humidity is35% and the setpoint is 40% the unit will shut down. When the RH% increases above the setpoint the fan will restart.
The fan does not stop
- If the relative humidity is above the setpoint the fan will continue to run and if the unit is set to "CO" it will continue to run.
- Check the set point and relative humidity. Normal display is the relative humidity. The set point is displayed when the up or down (^ v) buttons are pushed. For example if the setpoint is 40% and the relative humidity is 45% the compressor and fan will run.
The compressor has stopped but the fan is running
- It is normal for the fan to turn off after the compressor.
- When the setpoint is reached the compressor shuts off. The fan may run for up to an additional 3 minutes. This is to maximize the dehumidification process and dry the evaporator to give more accurate humidity measurements.
