Room Air Conditioners - How do I clean my air conditioner's air filter?
Applies to
- Room Air Conditioners
Solution
Staying ahead of routine maintenance is a smart move—regular care helps your air conditioner run more efficiently and keeps performance at its best. Great job taking the initiative.
For most air conditioners, the air filter is located behind the front grill panel, which is hinged at the bottom. To access it, hold the grill on both sides near the top and pull forward toward your body. The panel will tilt down, giving you access to the reusable filter.
To clean the filter, simply remove it and wash it with warm, soapy water. Once clean, let it dry completely before reinstalling it. As an alternative, you can use a vacuum with a brush attachment to remove dust and debris.
For more details specific to your model’s filter design, refer to your Use & Care manual.
