Solution
Quick Check
Coil Burners
- Check the safety switch in the middle of the burner to be sure it is not stuck--should spring back upwards when pushed down
- Remove coil and check for any damage or abnormalities.
- If coil looks ok reinsert and recheck.
- If coil continues to fail try to swap with another element.
Glass Cooktop
- Reset the unit by unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in.
- If all the burners are not heating and the unit was recently installed, this may indicate a voltage/wiring issue.
- If the burners are too hot or not hot enough, consumer can adjust the power level setting on the burner.
- Cookware can be impacting heating performance. Cookware must have a flat bottom and medium to heavy weight for even heating. Lightweight cookware and/or cookware with uneven bottoms, can cause foods to burn easily.
