Connected Appliances - I am having trouble connecting the Frigidaire 2.0 app to my Connected Home Comfort appliance. What can I do?

Solution

Here are some recommended steps to try:

  • Ensure the appliance is not too far from your home router
  • Press and hold the Wi-Fi button for 10 seconds (you may hear beeping); then repeat steps to connect your appliance
  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is password protected. If your Wi-Fi network does not have a password, you will need to add a password to your Wi-Fi network
  • Ensure your Wi-Fi password and name do not contain any of the following special characters: Quote (“), Forward Slash (/), Backslash (\), and Ampersand (&).

If using an Android® device, your phone should have location services turned on and switch to mobile data turned off during the connection process. These settings can be reverted back once the connection steps are completed.

Ensure you are connecting to a 2.4 GHz network, rather than a 5 GHz network. Some dual-band or mesh networks may need to be manually switched to a 2.4 GHz network. Please contact your network provider if you are unsure of your network type.
